PROBLEMATIC MAINSTREAM ISLAMIC DISCOURSE !
Ironically enough,significant segment of Muslims,other than various shades of terrorists reject modernity but in an most hypocritical manner use modern science and technology almost in its totality.For terrorists,modern scientific education and technological advances are Haram,but same very people use modern weaponry and the internet to propagate their respective diseased ideology,besides being best beneficiaries of latest modern technology in its various spheres.WhatsApp ,facebook,twitter have made it impossible to escape the cacophony of the most spacious words-"shirk,bidah,haram [idolatry,innovation,unlawful]by fellow Muslims.Modern technology is being used for propagation of Fatwas ,often based on sheer ignorance,arrogance and stupidity.
Blasphemy has been made core issue as if there are no other vital and significant core issues involving larger collective interests of Muslims.There are strong reactions on expected lines against blasphemous media depictions but on the contrary there are just isolated reactions against day to day repugnant and reprehensible atrocities,committed by ISIS or the hacking of bloggers in Bangladesh.
