"SCIENTIFIC CASTE PREJUDICE-BIOFUTUROLOGY"!
Have you ever heard about "biofuturology'?At least i had never heard of "biofuturology"before, till i completed study of Edward Luce's book titled-'In spite of the Gods',a remarkable and deeply insightful account of contemporary India. The author has provided details of his interaction with one Dr.Ramachandra Tupkary, leading intellectual thinker associated with Sangh parivar in general and with RSS in particular.Tupkary had been both the editor of the RSS intellectual journal and the the leader of its annual'officers' training camp,a semi militarised gathering of senior volunteers held in Nagpur every summer.
"Tupkary started by defining "biofuturology" for me:it is a science that gives you an intellectual master key to understanding the development of human race.He said, human brain is divided into two halves:the right side is occupied to deal with diversity and left side with uniformity. The typical Indian has a 'right side brain' and the typical European a 'left side brain'...Cultures which have a strong right side brain are good at dealing with complex thoughts and tend towards a democratic and decentralized society. Their minds are original but disorganized.People who have a strong left side brain are more disciplined but tend to develop autocratic and centralized societies. They are better at organization but lack imagination.Hindus are right side,Muslims are left side.Polytheistic Indians are right side, monotheistic Europeans are left side, the software of human development comes from India. The hardware comes from the west...After independence ,India has gone badly astray because it was run by people with overdeveloped left side brains who had been educated in western ways...India was a developed society long, long, long before it was colonized by Muslims and by Europeans. We had a developed economy thousands of years ago.We had demassified oil production,we had a sophisticated medicine and science ...Hinduism is microcosm of universe."
[Edward Luce,In spite of Gods;page 145-146].

“Indra took the form of Gautama to seduce Ahalya, saying to her, ‘I am in the power of Kama. Give me a kiss and so forth.’ But as she was worshipping the gods she told him that he had chosen an inappropriate time. He said, ‘Enough of this talk of what is done and what is not done. You should obey your husband, especially in the matters of sex. Give me an embrace and so forth.’ Then he embraced her and had his pleasure of her, but Gautama knew what had happened by his powers of meditation, and he hurried home and cursed Indra, saying, ‘Since you have acted in this way for the sake of the yoni (female-sexual-organ/vagina), let there be a thousand of them on your body, and let your linga fall.’ Then Gautama went to do tapas, and Indra, full of shame, stood in the water for a long time, praising Devi in her aspect of Indraksi ['Eyes of Indra']. When she offered him a boon he asked to have his deformity cured, but she said, ‘I cannot destroy the evil born of a sage’s curse, but I can do something so that people will not notice it: you will have a thousand eyes in the middle of the yonis (vaginas), and you will have the testicles of a ram.”
Padma Purana 1:56:15-53.

It is more than three weeks now that agents of the Catholic Church pressed multiple blasphemy charges against Sanal Edamaruku to avenge him for exposing their “miracle” of the water-dripping cross as a job for the plumber. While the threat keeps looming over Sanal’s head, ready to hit anytime, the Catholic Church is unleashing the “dogs of the Lord*). In a widely circulated public statement, a fanatic Catholic group tries to invoke fatwa power and calls Sanal a case for mental asylum.
*) “Dogs of the Lord” (Latin: Domini canes) was the name, the Dominicans loved to call themselves after the Vatican put them in charge of the Inquisiton in the 13th century. In a Papal Bull, a Pope with the endearing name “Innocent” (No. IV) gave them officially a free hand to torture. This is a classical division of  work.
On 11th of April, charges under Section 295 A, Indian Penal Code, have been filed against Sanal Edamaruku in at least three Mumbai police stations: in Juhu, in MIDC and in Andheri. Strangely, he did not receive any official document about these cases up to now. The Mumbai police refuse flatly to send copies of the complaints to Delhi – an unusual violation of the standard procedure. Sanal did not receive any summons either. Till today, there is nothing official about it - except the phone calls of an inspector from Juhu police station, who urges Sanal to come and get arrested. Recently, he calls every night.
What looks like a nightmare a la Franz Kafka, is a simple strategy: As long as the allegations against Sanal are not available in black and white, he will not be able to file a reply. Thus the stage is set for his arrest. In fact, that arrest – not any clarification – is on the police agenda, has already been spilled by the inspector from Juhu. Call it intimidation, attrition policy. This set-up aims at restricting Sanal’s movements and paralyzing his work.

Enormous worldwide response

Sanal’s harassment for exposing a Catholic wannabe miracle has caused an enormous worldwide response. It is reported and discussed in many newspapers, TV and radio programs in India and abroad. It keeps snowballing through thousands of blogs in various languages around the globe. People in USA, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Poland, Russia, Brazil, Japan and even Vietnam are expressing their solidarity with Sanal’s courageous position in the controversial TV discussion that followed his exposure of the dripping cross. In the light of this great public attention, Sanal’s detractors may have considered it advisable to slow down their moves for a while. But now, things are warming up.
The Catholic Church is orchestrating the background music for the countdown. It’s the rather nasty noise of the “dogs of the Lord” yapping themselves hoarse. With a great smear campaign, a fanatic Catholic group tries to stir up hatred against Sanal, branding his arguments in the TV-9 debate as “anti-Catholic venom”. They try to invoke fatwa power: Kindling the imagination how fanatic Islamists might deal with such a blasphemer, they leave the decision if Sanal “should be allowed to go scot free” to the mob. Finally they propose that “one needn’t send such a person to jail, but rather to a mental asylum...”
While his lawyers are preparing to defend his right to promote reason and scientific temper and to expose fraudulent claims of “miracles” of any – including Catholic – origin, Sanal Edamaruku has made it clear that as a law-abiding citizen he was ready to address the charges brought against him in front of any court of law or investigating officer – provided a proper summons was issued against him. However, he absolutely refused to comply with the bishop’s demand and apologize or withdraw any of his statements made in the TV-9 debate.
Instead he proposed that the authorities of the church of Velankanni at Mumbai should publicly apologize for distributing the dirty drainage water that was dripping from the cross to hundreds of gullible people. Advertising a natural phenomenon as a “miracle” to attract devotees and promoting them to drink unchecked dirty water claiming it had curative properties is an irresponsible act - and should be a punishable offence, too.

Unstoppable and in full swing:
Sanal’s new campaign against faith healers

Meantime Sanal Edamaruku is active in toppling the empires of Indian faith healers of different religious origin. He initiated a systematic campaign against one Nirmal Baba - once a failed business man from Uttar Pradesh, who acquired “divine powers” and a “third eye” and started a flourishing career as a godman. Nirmal invites devotees to buy expensive tickets for his huge mass assemblies, during which he would allegedly solve the problems of those who pay an exorbitant extra sum. He would give them some simple exercises (making small amendments to their diet plans or donating small amounts to strangers etc.) and claim that would cure their chronic diseases or instantly boost their broke business. A parade of fake witnesses – all being paid for their services - would “prove” the baba’s success. These stage-managed shows are filmed and run daily for hours as paid advertisements on some 40 TV channels.
Now, Sanal’s campaign against Nirmal Baba broke the spell. Suddenly TV channels that otherwise run his well paid ads zoomed in on the millionaire godman’s fraudulent activities and the legal cases that he is facing in several Indian states. During the last two weeks, Sanal debated in sixteen live programs on various TV channels against this charlatan. Nirmal’s daily collection that used to cross one crore Rupees (about US $ 180,000) has come down to a few thousand Rupees as a result of the campaign that Sanal lead.
Meantime Sanal is focusing public attention on Paul Dinakaran, one of the most successful Christian faith healers in India. Dinakaran claims to be in constant contact with Jesus Christ. Imitating his US counterparts, he organizes huge gatherings and offers blessings for a price. Good results in entrance exams, resolving of a business crisis, instant health solutions (including, of course: making the deaf hear and the lame walk) - everything has its tag. Thousands of people are lured with dramatic music and Paul’s hammy theatric displays of great feelings to come to his Prayer Tower in Chennai or join Christian faith healing festivals which draw crowds up to 500000 people in many cities of India.
When Sanal Edamaruku started exposing Paul Dinakaran on one of the big national Hindi channels, a live program scheduled for thirty minutes was extended to three hours as the viewership numbers hit record heights. The discussion was watched by millions, when Sanal draw the line to Dinakaran’s Vatican backed competitors in the Divine Retreat Centre at Muringoor in Kerala and to the Catholic Church’s unparalleled track record of miracle mongering throughout history. He also spoke about his exposure of the dripping cross at Mumbai and of the harassment that he is currently facing from the revengeful Catholic authorities and their henchmen. The campaign against Christian faith healers will continue in various TV channels. Sanal has already committed his participation in panel discussions in all major TV channels during the coming days.
Various Catholic organizations are stepping up efforts to stop Sanal’s hugely influential national campaigns against miracle mongering. They want to silence him and to bankrupt the Indian Rationalist Association with multiple cases.
We request you to support Sanal Edamaruku’s campaigns and to help defending him against all legal and extra legal attacks.

A wife should be like goddess Sita: Bombay HC
timesofindia.indiatimes.com
"Without any disregard to Bombay high court orders,i am herewith quoting exclusively from the book, titled 'the Ramayan,a new point of view'[author P.H.Gupta]-"...with the defeat and death of Ravana, there was an end to the sorrows of Rama and there should have been an end to the sorrows of Sita as well.Unfortunately it was not the case.Rama against all evidence, suspected the chastity of his wife during her captivity and banished her from his kingdom to spend the last days of her life in the forests. This he did after taking her into his affection and having made her pregnant.Sita put an end to her sorrows by burying herself alive. Thousands of people including Rishis,Devas,Kings and Brahmins gathered to witness the ghastly scene but not one of them had the courage or good sense to raise his little finger to prevent the tragedy. If the whole world was unkind to her,the mother earth at last was kind to her...If for the whole world,Sita is a great pativrata and the embodiment of virtue, for Rama she was only a means of gratifying the sexual passion...Sita is the personification of man's injustice to women in this country through the ages. Many people hesitate to give the beautiful name of good Sita to their daughters for fear that they may secure cruel and heartless husband like Rama. Who can blame them?"[page 155-156]...And million dollar question arises-'god' Indra once defiled the chastity of Ahalya, the wife of sage Ghutam.Ahalya the impure was purified by the simple one touch of supposed god Rama;even if we take Sita to be impure, she would automatically be purified ,as she was in constant touch of so called maryada parshotam[preserver of propriety of conduct].That she was not purified only shows Rama at that time was not 'god' and was only a ordinary chauvinistic male.As reincarnation of Vishnu,in Sita's case his attributes-omnipotent,omnipresent,omniscient and above all benevolent ,are quite logically questionable. What a divine paradox???"

TAKE TIME TO READ. It's worth reading it. Trust me :)

A professor overheard two students discussing.
Student 1:"Did God create everything that exists?"

Student 2:Yes, he did"

Student 1:If God created everything, then he created evil. Since evil exists (as noticed by our own actions), so God is evil. The student couldn't respond to that statement causing the professor to conclude that he had "proved" that "belief in God" was a fairy tale, and therefore worthless.

Professor interrupted, he said, that i am afraid is a non sequitur,
Even if god created evil, it doesn't necessarily make god evil (unless you introduce additional and compelling qualities defining god).
Even if god is evil, how does that prove that belief in god is a fairy tale (again, unless we are provided a bit of essential information about this thing called god).
Given additional qualities about god, such as the (really twisted) Judeo-Christian notion that god is all-loving, we can say that there is an inherent contradiction in an all-loving god who created evil.

Impressed by this, another student raised his hand and asked the professor, "May I pose a question? " "Of course" answered the professor.

Student: "Is there such a thing as heat, Professor?"

Professor: "Yes."

Student: "Is there such a thing as cold?"

Professor: "Yes, there's cold too."

Student: "No sir, there isn't. You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold, otherwise we would be able to go colder than 458. You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat can be measured in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it."

Professor: "The usage of the word cold in colloquial terms is different from it's usage in science. You're incorrect in your concept that cold can exist only in the absence of heat. Both heat and cold are merely comparative terms. Temperature or heat-energy is a real thing, which can be measured by scales, such as Fahrenheit, Centigrade, and Kelvin. Higher readings are perceived as warm by the human skin, lower ones as cold. But, heat and cold are only handy reference points, not absolute terms, and NOT dependent on the presence or absence of the other. "

Student: "Is there such a thing as darkness, Professor?"

Professor: "Yes..."

Student: "You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light but if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker and give me a jar of it. Can you give me a jar of darker darkness, Professor? My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to start with and so your conclusion must be in error. You are working on the premise of duality. That for example there is life and then there's death; a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science cannot even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism but has never seen, much less fully understood them. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, merely the absence of it."

Professor: "I disagree. You are mistaken again, young man. Darkness is the lack of perception of any electromagnetic radiation typically called light. Just because we cannot see the radiation, does not mean it isn't present. Science helps us to realize this. Remember, the spectrum goes from infrared to ultraviolet and beyond on either end. So darkness is NOT the absence of light, merely the lack of its perception by available sensors."

The student then holds up a newspaper.

Student: "Here is one of the most disgusting tabloids this country hosts, Professor. Is there such a thing as immorality?"

Professor: "Of course there is, look..."

Student: "Wrong again, sir. You see, immorality is merely the absence of morality. Is there such thing as injustice? No. Injustice is the absence of justice. Is there such a thing as evil? Isn't evil the absence of good? If there is evil in the world, and we all agree there is, then God, if he exists, must be accomplishing a work through the agency of evil. What is that work God is accomplishing? Judaism/Christianity/Islam tells us it is to see if each and every one of us will choose good over evil. I would have thought that the absence of God's moral code in this world would be one of the most observable phenomena. Newspapers make billions of dollars reporting it every week!"

Professor: "My dear student, let me give you an example. You see, based on your argument, some would also argue that the absence of love is hate. But love only exists within the entity experiencing that feeling. If that entity does not feel love or it ceases to exist, can love still exist by itself? No. Love and hate are relative terms on a spectrum of emotional experiences caused by the brain, just as with cold, heat, light, dark, morality, immorality, justice, injustice, and whatnot. This same reasoning can apply to all emotions. In addition, ideas need not exist only in absolute extremes. When a person does not feel love, they need not feel hate either.

In the same way, some would say that war exists in the absence of peace. No. It doesn't have to be that way. There can be both an absence of peace and an absence of war at the same time. For example, people can dislike each other without attempting to kill each other. Peace and war can co-exist in the same place, and their existence does not depend on the presence or absence of the other. Life does not always work in absolute opposites.

Your last point about evil would follow the same rule. Good and evil are points along a spectrum of human moral values, and certainly the world today should show you that both good and evil can exist at the same time, in the same place, and even within a single individual. For example, there have been psychopathic serial killers who still love their dogs, or a person they're really close to and trust; and they treat them very well. So you see, they too can make good and evil decisions. Again, life doesn't have to be always in extreme absolutes."

Student: "Okay. Tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey then? Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir? Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work or can even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching, or rather preaching, your own opinion about it, sir? Are you now not a scientist anymore, but a priest?"

Professor: "No. I don't teach nor preach to my students that they evolved from monkeys. We did not evolve from monkeys. We, like the apes, evolved from a common ancestor, not monkeys. And that common ancestor is long extinct. That's why there are still monkeys around. Believe it or not, we are still evolving. There's no telling how we would look in the far future, billions of years from now. Here, watch this video on my laptop for a better and detailed explanation on how evolution works:
1. The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution
2. If Evolution is a fact, why are there still monkeys (chimpanzees) around?
3. Religious reasoning on Evolution (cartoon version).

Experiments in evolution can also be repeated or reproduced in a laboratory. Science is based on observations. Scientist do not make claims without evidence to back them up. So, I suggest the proponents of Creationism or the idea that God created everything, read the writings of, or watch the video Cosmos by the an American scientist, Dr. Carl Sagan (1934-1996).

In one applicable part of the video, Dr. Sagan says:

“We mix together and spark the gases of the primitive Earth: hydrogen, water, ammonia methane, hydrogen sulfide all present, incidentally, on the planet Jupiter today and throughout the cosmos. The sparks correspond to lightning also present on the ancient Earth and on modern Jupiter. The reaction vessel is initially transparent: the precursor gases are entirely invisible. But after ten minutes of sparking, we see a strange brown pigment slowly streaking the sides of the vessel. The interior gradually becomes opaque, covered with a thick brown tar. If we had used ultraviolet light simulating the early Sun, the results would have been more or less the same. The tar is an extremely rich collection of complex organic molecules, including the constituent parts of proteins and nucleic acids. The stuff of life, it turns out, can be very easily made."

"Such experiments were first performed in the early 1950’s by Stanley Miller, then a graduate student of the chemist Harold Urey… Under the right circumstances in the test tube, short nucleic acids can synthesize identical copies of themselves… (Of course) no one has so far mixed together the gases and waters of the primitive Earth and at the end of the experiment had something crawl out of the test tube (yet)… But we have been performing such experiments for only some thirty years. Nature has had a four billion year head start. All in all, we have not done (too) badly.”

Student: "Yeah whatever! So... you still don't accept God's moral code to do what is righteous?"

Professor: "Which god's moral code are you talking about? Vishnu? Yahweh? Allah? JuJu? And how do you know which god's religious book (Bible/Quran/Gita/etc.) or scriptures are true and not man-made? Regardless, if you can scientifically and historically prove any of your claims, sure, why not, I will consider it."

Student: "Ahh! SCIENCE! Sir, you rightly state that science is the study of observed phenomena. Science too is a premise which is flawed.

Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen air, oxygen, molecules, atoms or even the professor's brain? (silence in class)

Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt the professor's brain, touched or smelt the professor's brain? (silence in class)

It appears no one here has had any sensory perception of the professor's brain whatsoever. Well, according to the rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol of science, I now DECLARE that the PROFESSOR has NO BRAINS!!!"

The class breaks out in laughter.

Professor: "Haha! That was very funny! However, my dear student, science can prove the existence of unseen things such as air, oxygen, molecules, atoms, gravity, electricity, electromagnetism, radio waves etc. But I'm afraid the same can't be said about your god, son. Science is not flawed. But the way in which misinformed people misuse the scientific method to DECLARE something is true is flawed. For these people, science is no longer a legitimate method based on observation and evidence. There is another name for what these people do. It's called pseudoscience or in simple terms, science fiction. And that is exactly what you are doing now, my young student. Your method of using 'science' to DECLARE that I have no brains is absolutely flawed. Let me give some examples of how to use legitimate science to discover whether or not I have a brain. You can try:
1. Brain scan.
2. Surgery.
3. The fact that I am a living being, standing in front of you, talking to you right now, and teaching you about science, reason, rationality and critical thinking would not be possible if I did not have a brain. Am I right? So widen your views and your perspectives, my child. You will learn and understand a lot more by doing so.

Science is the best tool ever devised for understanding how the world works. Science is the single most consistently reliable method we have for understanding reality. Science is a way of learning not to fool yourself. Thank you."

The class applauds the professor and the student for giving them such an entertaining and educational experience.

P.S.

I believe you have enjoyed the conversation. And if so, you’ll probably want your friends / colleagues to enjoy the same, won’t you?
Oh and if you have been sharing fake stories and attributing them to einstein on facebook, you must share this, or on Dec. 21, 2012 , when zombies rise, the "brainy" zombie Einstein, will order his army to search for people like you and eat your brains.

OBSCURANTIST INTOLERANT PAROCHIAL!
History and today's day to day experience has established that religion is ineffective and weak in spreading the message of peace and love.As a matter of fact religion has caused more misery to all of mankind in every stage of human history than any other single idea.Whether it is Christianity or Islam or Hinduism, every religion has inculcated an intolerant spirit among its followers which has resulted in bloody clashes, murder and torture of all those who do not submit to that particular faith.Theism teaches man to love "god" so much so that they begin to hate, abhor, and outlaw those, who honestly and sincerely cannot accept the 'incredible' doctrine. It is all due to the fact that all religions are wedded to fanatical intolerance.Today all religions are classical example of sectarian trends and loyalties. It is not one or two instances in the history of religion that 'prove'this or that religion is not secular. The history of every religion is the history of intolerance. So called 'modern and progressive'religious scholars may quote verses here and there from their respective 'holy' scriptures in order to prove 'secular spirit'of their religion. Such passages are very rare and out of context as for as today's subjective and objective conditions are concerned. On the contrary the known verses and the action of the followers,in accordance to the basic spirit of those verses, are the only 'inspiration' for credulous and gullible followers. All religions are same:the Muslims fight with the cry Allah ho Akbar, the Christians in the name of Christ and Hindus with the slogan,Har Har Mahadev. In this context it is interesting to note that when rationalistic doctrines, backed by scientific truth and supremacy of reason and logic, criticize the theism[religions] for their intolerance, irrationality, adamant and uncompromising attitude, religious protectors raise their heads with their 'new' findings and interpretations in order to reestablish so called tolerant and secular spirit of their respective religious dogma.
Illa Wheeler Wilcox, has put the same thought in plainer words:
"so many gods,so many creeds,so many paths that wind and wind;
when just the art of being kind is all that the sad world needs."

THIS IS HOW "MIRACLES" ARE ESTABLISHED!
"DIVINE-LIGHT"FOR CAMERAMAN UNDER DARK CONDITIONS!
"During 'something beautiful for god',there was an episode where we were taken to a building that mother Teresa called the house of the dying.Peter Chafer, the director said,'Ah,well,it is very dark in here.Do you think that we can get something?'.And we had just taken delivery at the BBC of some new film made by Kodak, which we hadn't had time to test before we left,i said to Peter,"well we may as well have to go."So we shot it.And when we got back several weeks latter,a month or two later,we are sitting in the rushes theater at Ealing studios and eventually up come the shorts of the house of the dying. And it was surprising. You could see every detail. And i said,"that is amazing;that is extraordinary".And i was going to go on to say,you know, three chairs for Kodak. I didn't get a chance to say that though, because Malcolm, sitting in the front row, spun around and said,"it is divine light! It is Mother Teresa. You will find that it's divine light, old boy." And three or four days later i found that i was being phoned by journalists from London newspapers, who were saying things like:"we hear you've just come back from India with Malcolm Muggeridge and you were witness of a miracle".

THE AUTHOR OF "GRIM TRAGEDY"OF REAL LIFE CANNOT BE WISE OR BENEVOLENT:-
"All maladies,
of ghastly spasm,of racking torture,qualms,
of heart sick agony, all feverous kinds,
convulsions, epilepsy,fierce catarrh,
intestine stone and ulcer,colic pangs,
demoniac frenzy,moping melancholy,
and moon struck madness,pining atrophy,
marasmus and wide wasting pestilence,
dropsy and asthma and joint racking rheum's.
The moans and groans of all the sick patients at this moment would if collected and concentrated at an acoustic focus, swell into a roar of agony more thunderous than that of Niagra.Famine stalks as a specter across the pages of history; the 'father' does not seem to care for his hungry 'children'.Above all, vice and anti social instincts have been implanted deep in man's soul and we do our best now to eradicate them.If "god" loves virtue, why has he not made man wholly virtuous? Why has he burdened us with hatred, envy, gluttony, lust, sloth, pride, anger, avarice and other sins too heavy to be borne? Why has man to wade his way through blood to social peace? Why must he often eat his bread in tears? Why is history partly a record of folly, slavery, murder and strife? The author of such a grim tragedy of real life cannot be wise and benevolent."[Hints for self culture].

MHABHARTA :EPIC TALE OF "EXTRAORDINARY "FANTASIES !
PHILANTHROPIC KING "PAR EXCELLENT"!
King Gya son of king Amortry, organized daily agnihotra [the ceremony consisting of offering oblations to the consecrated fire] for hundred years. During this period,he donated daily ,one Lac sixty thousand Cow,ten thousand Horse and one Lac gold coins.
[Mhabharta;Dronparv;chapter 66;shalok[verse] 1/7/8/9/].
Exposition:-total no of Cows donated during 100 years :160000x
365x100=5,84,00,00,000.
total no of Horses donated :10000x365x100=36,50,00,000.
total no of Gold coins donated:100000x365x100=3,65,00,00,000.
Now,let us believe that being extraordinarily devotional philanthropic,King Gya worked for his mission all the 24 hours [1440 minutes],without any other work, rest or sleep, still how could he manage donation of aforementioned Cows,Horses and Gold coins-that too associated with time consuming rituals???
Any divine exposition,clue or calculation???
"EXTRAORDINARY" PENANCE OF PARVATI FOR GETTING MARRIED WITH SHIVA!
"...Cherishing in her heart, the feet of her dear lord, Uma[Parvati] went to forest and began her penance. Her delicate frame was little fit for austerities;yet she renounced all luxuries and her devotion to the feet of her lord presented a new phase everyday. She got so absorbed in penance that she lost all consciousness of her body. For a thousand years she lived on roots[mol phala] and fruits alone. For some days her only sustenance was water and air, while for few days, she observed a rigorous fast. For three thousand years, she maintained herself on the withered leaves of the Bela tree, that dropped on the ground. Finally she gave up even leaves; Uma then came to be known by the name of Aparna [living without leaves].Seeing her being emaciated and under the process of self mortification, the deep voice of Brahma, resounded in the heaven.

"A man came to me who had been working for years on a certain hypothesis in many countries of the world: particularly in the west and more particularly in America, where the number thirteen is not thought to be good. There are Hotels in America where the thirteenth floor does not exist;from the twelfth floor you simply come to fourteenth .The number thirteen is avoided,no room has the number thirteen;from the twelfth you immediately reach the fourteenth, because nobody wants to live in the thirteenth room or on the thirteenth floor. A great fear-the idea that the the number thirteen has something evil in it.
And this man was working and collecting all kind of data, and he had collected really huge, mountainous data to support how many accidents happen on the thirteenth of every month, how many people die on the thirteenth, how many people commit suicide, how many people murder, how many people go mad?
And he was showing his great thesis to me and he said,'what do you say?'
I said,'you do one thing more. You have put so much energy into it,now try one thing more. Now find out what happens on the twelfth! And you will come to the same data, because on the twelfth also people go mad, commit suicide, murder, rob.Everything happens every day,but if you have a certain fixed attitude then you will choose according to that attitude. And of course when you have so much information and argument you feel certain that your attitude is right."

EXTREME DIVINE STUPIDITY!
"Do you see the stupidity of humanity?Five thousand years ago,Manu gave a discipline to the Hindus and they are still following it.Three thousand years ago,Moses gave a discipline to the Jews and they are still following it. Five thousand years ago Adinatha gave his discipline to the Jainas and they are still following it.The whole world is being driven crazy by these disciplines! They are out of date, they should have been buried long ago, long ago. You are carrying corpses and those corpses are stinking. And when you live surrounded by corpses, what kind of life can you have."

Rushdie: Long shadow of the fatwa
Salman Rushdie
Its twenty three years now. On 24th February 1989, Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini issued his fatwa against Salman Rushdie, author of “The Satanic Verses”. There was nothing very new about a religious leader calling for the murder of a writer because he did not like his books. Or perhaps more precisely: because he vaguely sensed irreverence in his expressions without even going to the bother of reading a line. Religious leaders, if only powerful enough, have always claimed the right to silence any voice that does not sing their song. Not only Islam - the history of Christianity is full of Khomeinis, indexing books and burning “heretics’ alive. Dogmatism cannot stand intellectual confrontation. It needs heavily guarded, air-tight protectorates to survive.
New about this fatwa was mainly that Iran’s “Supreme Leader” brazenly extended his “right” to ban and kill beyond the borders of his country and beyond the borders of Islam’s “protectorate”. He annexed the liberal West to his hunting ground. Had Rushdie been an Iranian writer living in Iran, many would have conveniently ignored his murder. But being a British citizen in London, they could not. His life had to be protected. On the question of his right to free expression, however, opinions differed. It was a widespread fashion to blame the victim rather than the religious perpetrators of the outrage. The Rushdie case shamefully proved how deeply ingrained the argument of religious censorship was in the metropoles of the free and enlightened world - and how shaky the idea of universal human rights. The apostles of cultural relativism could use the chance to spread their dangerous propaganda. It proposes that religious fundamentalists should be allowed to kill because it's their culture to kill.

Twenty three years after the fatwa, the echo is still reverberating. India, Rushdie’s birth land and the world’s largest democracy, gives an inglorious example. The Satanic Verses are still banned, their author remains a persona non grata – at least in election times. In January, the Rajastan government forced Rushdie under bizarre circumstances, to cancel his announced speech at the high-profile Jaipur Literature festival. Competing for the more than 18 per cent Muslim votes in the ongoing elections in Uttar Pradesh, various political parties seemed in rare agreement about one thing: that a low blow against Rushdie could be politically very profitable. Meantime police investigates against four courageous authors. They had expressed their solidarity with Rushdie by starting their presentations in Jaipur with reading from the Satanic Verses.

: AKSHAY TRITHYA TODAY!
NEW MODERN CONSUMERIST DIVINE OBSERVANCE!

Akshay trithya, also known as Akshay Teej, is Hindu and Jain 'holy' day that falls on 3rd tithi [lunar day] of the bright half [shukla pakhsh] of the Indian month of Vaishakha. Accordingly to Hindu mythology, said day is not only birthday of Hindu sage Parshurama, but is also supposedly 'ruled' by Vishnu-the 'preserver god'. There has been associated myth that starting a new work or buying valuables on this day, is divine panacea for 'luck' and 'success'.

Traditionally has been linked with child marriages too. Even today, despite law against child marriages, such marriages are solemnized in many parts of the country, mainly due to supposed alignment of the sun and the moon-considered auspicious for respective parents. It is mystery when and how, said day got corporate makeover and its exclusive modern observance for purchasing gold. True to class interests, even world gold council has declared Akshay Trithya as 'auspicious' for buying gold and silver ornaments. Eric Hobsbawn and Terence Ranger have rightly said, 'not only the symbols and the rituals have to be invented afresh, but a 'historic continuity' has to be 'invented' for them.'
Classical example of establishing a lineage with the older tradition.
REGRESSIVE VIEW POINT:-
"If all the evidence in the universe turns against creationism,i would be the first to admit it,but i would still be creationist because that is what the word of God seems to indicate. Here i must stand."
[Quotation from Kurt Wise].
PROGRESSIVE VIEW POINT:-
"If all the evidence in the universe turned in favor of creationism,i would be first to admit it and i would immediately change my mind. As things stand, however, all available evidence [and there is a vast amount of it] favors evolution. It is for this reason and this reason alone that i argue for evolution with a passion that matches the passion of those who argue against it.My passion is based on evidence.Theirs, flying in the face of evidence as it does,is truly fundamentalist."
[Richard Dawkins].

HISTORICAL BOLD EPOCH MAKING DECLARATION:-
"...The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions. Let the ruling classes tremble at a Communistic revolution. The Proletarians have nothing to loose but their chains. They have a world to win.
WORKING MEN OF ALL COUNTRIES UNITE."

Islamist regimes pose greater threat
4/20/2012

Democracy is a nice idea, but if it is merely a fig leaf for the creation of new fundamentalist regimes it is not good either in strategic terms or for the people. If a country doesn’t have institutions in place, elections can be counter-productive

Since there is so much bad policy on the Middle East to critique and since there’s no hope of the Obama Administration listening to alternative strategies, I usually focus on attacking bad policies rather than on suggesting better ones. There is no great mystery, however, about what a good US-Middle East policy would look like.

The United States should take leadership. This is what its allies and dependents want and its enemies fear. The United Nations at times can be a useful instrument, but why depend on an organization often dominated by anti-American dictators and totally indifferent to US interests?

Identify the greatest threat today as revolutionary Islamism. Build a broad alliance with all those opposed to revolutionary Islamism. Of course, this list includes millions of non-Islamist and anti-Islamist Muslims: Canada, European allies, Israel.

The remaining Arab Governments that are relatively moderate on international affairs are: Morocco, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, South Sudan and Jordan. Add to that the oppositions in Lebanon, Iran, and Turkey, and the truly moderate elements in Syria.

Work with the real moderates and the Army in Egypt (though these two are at loggerheads) and Turkey (whose Army is being weakened perhaps the point of no return).

Plug in also with India, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and a number of other Governments in Asia and Africa too that face radical external and internal threats. China’s interests should be appealed to based on its desire for stability, need for secure sources of energy and supply routes, and concerns over its own Muslim minority becoming radicalized.

The goal is to keep revolutionary Islamists out of power, wherever possible, as was done with the communists in the Cold War. Revolutionary Islamist states and movements should be subverted and weakened. The US Government should comprehend that terrorism is a tactic used sometimes by some revolutionary Islamist groups and not a movement in itself.

Thus, the very real danger posed by Al Qaeda of carrying out terrorist attacks is strategically less significant than the ability of Muslim Brotherhood and other groups of taking over entire countries and turning them against the United States.

The connections between what is today the mainstream interpretation of Islam and revolutionary Islamism should be honestly recognised and US personnel should be given truthful training. The idea that apology, appeasement, or concessions will moderate Islamists should be abandoned. The idea that the West can somehow produce its own moderate brand of Islam or will be rescued by tiny groups of doctrinally moderate Muslims should be dropped.

The direct use of force should be limited to circumstances where it is unavoidable, and it is almost always avoidable, certainly at this point in time. Most of the time the United States can rely on local forces, which have their own interest in stopping revolutionary Islamism. But they must be the right local forces.

There is no purpose to be served by maintaining combat troops in Afghanistan, and in Iraq. The US policy should use a full arsenal of aid to aligned forces along with economic instruments and covert operations.

Democracy is a nice idea but if it is merely a fig leaf allowing for the creation of new dictatorships, what good is it either in strategic terms or even for the people who live in those countries? Pushing for elections, no matter what the actual social and political conditions are, is not a sensible policy, especially because the enemies of real functional democracy (rule of law; fair treatment of minorities, civil liberties) have caught on to the idea of using democratic forms to impose majority-backed dictatorships.

Have no illusion that there is going to be any serious progress on Arab-Israeli or Israel-Palestinian issues. You can keep up a pretense of diplomatic activity but don’t let that get in the way of real priorities. The Palestinian side’s leadership has rejected a two-state solution repeatedly and has no desire for a final end to the conflict.

Iran’s regime is not going to change course or stop seeking nuclear weapons. The answer is not to attack Iran militarily now but to prepare for the day when that might be made necessary by Iran’s own actions.

A failure to counter Tehran credibly makes war more likely because that country will become overconfident and overreach. Containing Iran requires combating the spread of its influence and power in every possible way. As with the USSR, the Iranian challenge goes far beyond the scenario of its launching a nuclear attack.

Recognise that a massive crisis is about to develop as Egypt becomes a radical anti-American, and probably revolutionary Islamist, state. Here, it is probably too late to put into effect a good policy.

Instead, the United States must define the red lines that would trigger an aid cut-off or a tough response. In addition, policymakers of United States should see the Army as the principal-but quite inadequate-bulwark there and see the Muslim Brotherhood as the problem an not the solution.
OUT OF WORLD "EXTRAORDINARY" BARATEES ON THE EVE OF SHIV PAARVAT MARRIAGE:-
"...The procession ,brothers is no way worthy of bridegroom;you will make your self a but of ridicule in a strange city...He sent Bhringi to call all his attendants and they all came. Shiva laughed to see his host in their motley attire, riding different type of vehicle. Some were HEADLESS[mukh heen],while others were HYDRA HEADED[bipul mukh] monsters. Some were WITHOUT HANDS AND FEET [bino pad kar],while others had numerous HEAD AND FEET [baho pad bahoo].Some had NUMEROUS EYES [[bapul nayan],while others had NO EYES[nayan bihena].Some were stout and well built [risht pusht],while others had slim bodies[ati tan khena]...Some were tidy, while others had dirty habits. They had frightful ornaments and all were smeared with fresh blood. Their faces resembled with donkeys, dogs, swine and jackals...The troops of spirits, goblins and fairies could not be described, due to their large number...What should we describe, the whole sight was beyond description. We wonder whether it was a bridegroom party or the army of death. The bridegroom is a maniac, smeared with ash, riding on bull with lot of serpents and human skull around his neck.

The Mind of a Jihadist – Review of M A Khan’s Book “Islamic Jihad: A Legacy of Forced Conversion, Imperialism, and Slavery”
4/17/2012

Book: Islamic Jihad: A Legacy of Forced Conversion, Imperialism, and Slavery

Author: M.A. Khan. New York: iUniverse, Inc., 2009. 357 pp.

Since the Islamic terror attacks perpetrated on the United States on 9/11/2001, Americans and people in the West have wondered what drove nineteen Muslim fanatics to commit such an atrocity. In M.A. Khan’s seminal and scholarly work, Islamic Jihad: A Legacy of Forced Conversion, Imperialism, and Slavery, the reader is given a good background on why these attacks and many other Islamic attacks have taken place throughout the centuries. One word describes it: Jihad. The term Jihad in Arabic means “struggle”, but most people agree that it is a euphemism for “Holy War” to be perpetrated against those who do not believe in Allah and his prophet, Muhammad.

Mr. Khan describes the concept of Jihad as “the foundational creed of Islam.” And the author should know. Born a Muslim in India, Mr. Khan grew up in a conservative background, while still considering himself a liberal Muslim. The events of 9/11 changed him dramatically and led him on an odyssey as to question how his religion — and co-religionists — sanctioned, and even reveled in this atrocity. The author himself candidly admits that he too believed that America had justifiably gotten a bloody nose, though he felt that the victims died unjustifiable deaths. As much of a paradox as these views seem, many Muslims felt the same way. The difference is that Mr. Khan looked in the mirror, asked penetrating questions, and had the intellectual honesty to answer these questions.

In the ensuing years after 9/11, Mr. Khan did extensive research on Islam, Islamic theology, and the history of Jihad which is the driving force behind all of Islam’s conquests. The results of his findings led him to the conclusion to leave Islam completely, and to write this most masterful and educational book on a controversial aspect of a most controversial religion.

Mr. Khan begins by giving the reader a biographical background on the founder of Islam, Muhammad ibn Abdallah, and how through shrewd diplomacy, duplicity, and sheer treachery, emerged as the most powerful political and religious leader in 7th century Arabia with a new religion hungry to expand as far as it could beyond the Arabian peninsula.

The author details the extermination and expulsion of Arabian Jews followed by persecution of Christians and other “non-believers.” Throughout Islamic history, Muslim conquest, conversion, and slavery were all sanctioned and justified under a code of religion which separated the world into the “House of Islam” and the “House of War.” In Islam, there were — and are — no grey areas. Everything is dictated by Allah and his prophet Muhammad, through the Islamic holy book, the Qur’an, and its interpretation by Islamic scholars dictated by Sharia (Islamic law). The book is as much a psychological portrayal of the Jihadists as it is a historical one.

Mr. Khan writes on areas of Jihad that are not well known to people familiar with Islam and its bloody wars. These include the Arab/Islamic slave trade in Africa and the genocidal war between Muslims and Hindus over India. The Arab role in the African slave trade, unlike the European role, is very rarely spoken about, let alone written about.

At times, the book can be quite disturbing when reading about the misfortunes and massacres of the conquered and enslaved peoples. There is much writing that needs to be comprehended by the reader in order to understand the mind of the Jihadist and the bloody wars fought in the name of Allah. Mr. Khan writes a compelling book that is very detailed, backing it up with extensive footnotes, bibliography, and index. It is a book that should be kept as a reference source for anyone and everyone who is interested in understanding the bloody history of Islamic Jihad and all the consequences that have emerged from it.

For those who believe that Jihad is really a Muslim’s personal struggle with himself and temptation, then this book will certainly bring clarity and sobriety as to what Jihad, and ultimately, Islam really stands for. In the words of the author himself, the doctrine of Jihad has given Islam a freedom to establish imperialistic rule on a global scale that encompasses economic exploitation, slavery, and ultimately a world ruled exclusively by Islam.

It is a devastating indictment of a religion that is generally grouped with Judaism and Christianity. However, the commands of Jihad entail total war, are eternal, and cannot be revoked as they are enforced with absolute legitimacy by and through Sharia. The author leaves us with the question as to whether or not Jihad will return in the 21st century with a force comparable to previous centures. Islamic Jihad is a riveting book that will leave the reader armed with a knowledge he or she may never have had, and will also leave the reader with the disturbing question as to whether the religion of Islam can ever come to terms in a peaceful way with non-Islamic religions. Given the history of Jihad and the slaughter of 9/11, the reader can only come away with a pessimistic viewpoint.
