The blatant, arbitrary and callous misuse of the public exchequer by the self-styled ‘lord’ Chief Minister of Telangana in the name of ‘offerings’ to various temples and spending over Rs 50 crore on the construction of his official residence in the name of ‘vaastukala’ is going on unchecked and unquestioned by the authorities. It appears that Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao has given himself the power to splurge the taxpayer’s money to satisfy his personal whims and believes that there is no one to stop him from indulging in such a wasteful expenditure. I hope that our proactive judiciary will take a note of this nonsensical behavior of a public servant, question his locus standi and order the restitution of the taxpayer’s money in the state coffers at the earliest.
